Meta has launched the Meta Ray-Ban Display, the first Ray-Ban smart glasses to blend powerful AI and augmented reality in one iconic frame.
Meta’s newest smart glasses introduce a sleek heads-up display that projects messages, live captions, and video calls directly into the field of view of one eye.
The glasses come paired with an intelligent wristband that lets you control them silently using subtle hand gestures-an industry-first innovation Meta recently showcased in a research paper published in Nature

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses during his keynote at the company’s Connect conference on Wednesday.
On stage, he framed the Meta Ray-Ban Display as a groundbreaking device designed to pull people away from constant smartphone distractions while enhancing what they can naturally see, do, and experience.
“Our goal is to create stylish, everyday glasses that deliver personal superintelligence and a powerful sense of presence using lifelike holograms,” Zuckerberg said.

The glasses mark the latest chapter in Meta’s ongoing collaboration with Ray-Ban.
“Personal superintelligence” is Meta’s term for powerful AI tailored to each individual-shaped by their daily life, preferences, and long‑term goals.
“Glasses are the perfect device for personal superintelligence because they keep you fully present in the real world while seamlessly layering in AI that makes you sharper, helps you communicate more clearly, boosts your memory, enhances your senses, and much more,” Zuckerberg said.
“Glasses are the one device that let AI truly share your perspective-seeing what you see, hearing what you hear, talking to you all day, and soon projecting whatever interface you need directly into your vision in real time,” Zuckerberg explained.

The AR display overlays rich digital information directly onto the wearer’s real‑world view.
The smart glasses feature a floating heads‑up display that’s large enough for effortless reading, yet carefully positioned so it never blocks your natural field of view. With an ultra‑bright, high‑resolution screen, your content stays sharp and readable even under direct sunlight, making it perfect for outdoor use. From the outside, it’s completely invisible-only you can see it- and when you’re not using it, the display disappears, leaving you with a clear, unobstructed view of the world.

For controls, the latest Meta Ray‑Ban smart glasses still offer reliable voice commands and an intuitive touch panel along the arm. Still, now they go even further with a groundbreaking new input system called the Neural Band, designed to deliver faster, more natural, truly hands‑free interaction.
